    Moka Eva: The First AI-native HR SaaS Product

    On June 28, 2023, Moka held its 2023 Summer Product Launch in Beijing. During the event, Moka CEO Li Guoxing unveiled the company's first AI-native HR SaaS integrated solution - Moka Eva. It serves as an AI HR companion in the era of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). This represents Moka’s strategic commitment to AGI and redefines the future trends for HR digital transformation. This product establishes Moka as the industry’s first company to truly deliver an AI-native HR SaaS product.

    At the event, Moka also released the Research Report on Organizational Transformation in the AGI Era in association with 36Kr Research Institute. The report highlights that the productivity transformation brought by AGI will inevitably drive a reform in organizational structures. In face of the challenges of AGI in organizational and human resource management, how to adapt these changes to boost organizational efficiency is a crucial question for every company.

     

    01: Moka launched its first AI-native HR SaaS integrated product to upgrade its AI-driven strategy

    The name "Moka Eva" is short for "Moka Evolution With AI", signifying Moka’s commitment to fully embracing an AI-driven strategy. According to Li Guoxing, Moka established its AI team in 2018, integrating AI deeply into its products—features like resume analysis, for instance, are built on AI technology. Since late last year, Moka has placed AI at the core of its development strategy, aiming to establish itself as the industry’s first AI-native HR SaaS company.

    Moka Eva, as an AI-native solution, is designed to be the AI HR companion dedicated to future workplace. It now features five key capabilities: intelligent resume screening, customized interview questions, AI-driven interview summaries, conversational BI, and an employee chatbot. Moka Eva will continue to evolve with new AI applications in the HR SaaS area. Apart from boosting recruitment efficiency, enhancing employee experience, and empoweringmanagement, this evolution will enable companies to reduce costs and better navigate the challenges of the current economic landscape.

    During the launch event, Li also gave a hands-on demonstration of two key features - "Conversational BI" and the "Employee Chatbot." "Conversational BI" represents a groundbreaking approach to data interaction, offering users a more natural, efficient, and convenient access to data and information. Simple input of natural language can provide users withquick access to the database to retrieve key metrics and trends. This user-friendly data access with no need for training enables organizations to retrieve what they need, thereby supporting better decision-making and business management.Meanwhile, the "Employee Chatbot" helps employees efficiently and accurately complete tasks related to recruitment and HR and retrieve relevant information. This feature not only significantly reduces the volume of basic inquiries, alleviating the workload of HR teams, but also greatly enhances the overall employee experience.

    Li stated that Moka has always been committed to providing better solutions to data and human resource management for enterprises. The newly launched "Conversational BI" and "Employee Chatbot" has made data analysis and intelligent dialogue more accessible and user-friendly based on AI-driven data access, thereby infusing impetus into innovation and development in HR management and business decision-making.

    02: AI Creates New Paradigm for Future Organizations with over 75% of Enterprises enhancing AI infrastructure through Third-party Providers

    The rapid development of AIGC (AI-generated content) has marked a pivotal turning point in AI’s evolution toward AGI. AI expert Andrew Ng emphasized in a recent interview thatAI is poised to transform all industries just as electricity did 100 years ago, and the torrent of large-scale AI applications has just begun. “Soon, the entire SaaS industry will be rebuilt with AI,” said Li Guoxing. “While many traditional jobs will be replaced, new opportunities and organizations will emerge. Both companies and individuals need to actively embrace AI to stay relevant in this era.”

    According to PwC, AI is expected to contribute approximately 100 trillion RMB to global GDP growth by 2030. In China alone, AI-enabled growth could contribute around RMB 40 trillion, far more than other countries.

    Li believes AI will impact future organizations in at least three aspects, requiring both businesses and individuals to make proactive preparation. First, this transformative technology will give rise to more "super individuals" and agile organizations, heralding a new "Age of Exploration" in modern technology. Second, over the next decade, organizational competitiveness will be determined by how deeply AI is integrated with manpower - only by taking proactive actions can businesses build barriers and gain competitive edges. Third, HR will be at the core of organizational reform, as driving AI adoption requires not only company-wide support but also a company culture that facilitates the transformation from the top down and the bottom up. HR is the best fit for leading the process.

    Gartner China predicts that over 30% of white-collar jobs in China will have been redefined by 2026 while demand forskills in managing generative AI will surge. To this end, companies must proactively integrate AI technology, embrace technological advancements and quickly attract qualified tech talent. It is estimated by Sequoia Capital that AGI is expected to increase human productivity by 10%, potentially generating trillions of dollars in economic value. This productivity reform triggered by AGI is bound to reshape relations of production.

    The Research Report on Organizational Transformation in the AGI Era reveals that, amid the torrent of AGI, an increasing number of companies have realized that technology, while reshaping organizational structures and management models, also offers a pathway to improve quality and efficiency. Intelligent transformation has become a focal point for many enterprises. As is shown by surveys, 50% of companies believe it’s crucial to establish a collaborative human-AI mechanism to enhance HR-business alignment, improve organizational capabilities, elevate the employee experience through AI and seize opportunities to mitigate potential risks.

    Additionally, 75.6% of surveyed companies tend to establish partnerships with third-party tech providers to advance AI capabilities and infrastructure, while only 16.2% choose to facilitate the intelligent transformation of its organizational management through self-developed systems and tools. This preference for external expertise underscores that most companies recognize the value of collaborating with specialized providers to accelerate AI integration. With the rapid development of AGI, companies are increasingly aware of the significance of AI for management and operations, seeking external partnerships to speed up their intelligent transformation.

    Li emphasized that AGI will bring revolutionary changes to the HR industry, enabling more efficient, impactful HR management. AI will free HR personnel from time-consuming administrative tasks, allowing them to focus on strategic, value-added work. Additionally, AI will enhance the recruitment experience and provide employees with better career development opportunities, fostering a workplace environment where employees feel valued and respected.
